LGBTQ+ Rights and Inclusion
LGBTQ+ Rights and Inclusion: EAVA recognizes the urgent need to promote the rights and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in East Africa. We firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, deserves to live a life free from discrimination, stigma, and prejudice. Through various initiatives, we work tirelessly to challenge stereotypes, raise awareness, and foster a culture of acceptance.
Our efforts go beyond advocacy. We actively engage with LGBTQ+ individuals and communities, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to express themselves and tell their stories. Our visual media lab is a hub of empowerment, equipping LGBTQ+ individuals with practical skills in visual communication, graphic design, video editing, filming, and photography. By nurturing these talents, we empower individuals to become self-sufficient and create positive change within their communities.
Through art, storytelling, and collaboration, EAVA is dedicated to creating a society where LGBTQ+ individuals are not only protected by human rights but celebrated for their unique contributions to East African culture and society.
