Murals of Hope
Why This Matters.
Uganda faces multiple challenges that undermine freedom, equality, and dignity. Widespread environmental degradation threatens livelihoods. Over 75% of the population is under 30, yet youth face unemployment, exclusion, and misinformation. Gender-based violence continues to harm women and girls, with 95% reporting experiences of abuse. And in an increasingly restricted civic space, communities often lack access to accurate human rights information. Art becomes a non-threatening, powerful tool to engage communities in difficult but vital conversations.
We prioritizes youth, women, and marginalized communities, offering a voice and a platform for justice,Local artists gain visibility and mentorship. Entire neighbourhoods benefit from public art that educates, inspires, demand for change and beautifies cities.
