About This Grant

Supporting human rights defenders and organizations working to protect and promote fundamental human rights. This grant provides funding for advocacy, documentation, legal support, and community mobilization efforts that strengthen human rights protections and advance justice for marginalized communities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a registered organization or individual working in Uganda
• Demonstrated commitment to human rights and social justice
• Previous experience in community work or advocacy
• Clear project proposal with measurable outcomes
• Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities
• Understanding of LGBTQ+ issues and challenges
• Commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory practices
• Background in journalism, media, or communications
• Understanding of media ethics and professional standards
• Portfolio of media work or publications
• Artistic background or creative experience
• Portfolio of artistic work
• Willingness to use art for social impact

Application Requirements

• Completed application form with all required fields
• Detailed project proposal (maximum 5 pages)
• Project budget breakdown
• Project timeline and implementation plan
• CV/Resume of project lead or key personnel
• Two professional references
• Community needs assessment
• Letters of support from community leaders
• Evidence of community consultation
• Signed terms and conditions agreement
• Bank account details for fund transfer
