ARTS FOR JUSTICE
Our Arts for Justice program is rooted in the belief in the power of art to promote social justice and human rights.
Our Arts for Justice program is rooted in the belief in the power of art to promote social justice and human rights. We run a dynamic and inclusive arts program that focuses on advocating for and supporting the rights of systemically marginalized communities. The aim of this project is to create positive change by harnessing the transformative power of art to challenge discrimination, promote acceptance, and foster equality.
We believe in the transformative power of art: Art has the ability to transcend boundaries, challenge prejudices, and ignite social change. By leveraging the power of creativity, we aim to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
We recognize that the experiences of individuals are shaped by multiple aspects of their identities, including race, ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic status. We strive to address the complex intersections of these identities and work towards a more inclusive understanding of human rights.
Thematic areas Art Exhibitions: We curate and organize thought-provoking exhibitions that explore the diverse experiences and narratives of human rights. Through visual arts, installations, performances, and multimedia presentations, we aim to challenge stereotypes, provoke dialogue, and celebrate the richness of human culture in our diversities.
Community Outreach: We actively engage with artists practicing art for social justice and communities to provide a safe and inclusive space for artistic expression. Our community outreach programs include art workshops, creative writing sessions, and open mic events, where participants can freely express their stories, emotions, and perspectives through various artistic mediums.
Advocacy and Awareness: We work tirelessly to raise awareness about the human rights issues. Through collaborations with activists, organizations, and policy-makers, we strive to promote legislative changes and policy reforms that protect and affirm human rights. We also organize public forums, panel discussions, and educational workshops to foster dialogue and understanding.
Artist development opportunities: We support artists with information to relevant artist residencies and grants to providing them with the necessary resources and support to create impactful and thought-provoking artworks. We support artists with recommendations, relevant support materials and guidance as they seek to grow in their passions. By nurturing talent and amplifying the voices of systemically marginalized artists, we aim to challenge societal norms, break barriers, and inspire change.
Online Platform: Our website serves as a hub for information, resources, and opportunities. Here, you can explore our curated exhibitions, learn about our advocacy efforts, find upcoming events, and discover the works of talented systemically marginalized artists. We also provide a space for artists and activists to share their stories, perspectives, and experiences through our blog and online forums.
